We work with small businesses and nonprofits across a wide range of industries. Over the years, we’ve worked with everyone from painters and tattoo artists to B&Bs, real estate businesses, property owners and managers, and even a hot dog stand and a bounce house rental company. We also support businesses working with large, global companies, so no two clients look quite the same.

Anchor & Admin is based in Maine with a presence in California, but we work with businesses and nonprofits across the country. We’re fully remote, so we can work with clients wherever they’re located.

We don’t fit neatly into one box, and that’s kind of the point. Our experience spans financials, HR and compliance, operations, and communications, so we can look at the bigger picture instead of focusing on just one piece of your business. You get practical, hands-on support from people who understand what it’s actually like to run a small business.
-
That’s completely normal. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you contact us. We’ll talk through what’s taking up your time, what isn’t working, and what keeps falling through the cracks, then help you figure out where support would make the biggest difference.
-
Just ask! Every business is different, and the services listed on our website are examples of the ways we can help, not an exhaustive list. If it’s outside our wheelhouse, we’ll be upfront about that too.
-
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
-
We’ll spend about 30 minutes getting to know you and your business, what’s working, what isn’t, and where you could use support. Depending on what you need, we may ask to review relevant systems, financial information, or documents afterward before putting together a proposal.
-
Absolutely. We regularly work alongside CPAs, payroll providers, and other professionals to help keep things organized, share the information they need, and make sure everyone is on the same page.
